What TalkPebble does
- Shares general, age-aware information about early communication
- Suggests everyday activities you can try at home
- Helps you keep notes on what you observe
TalkPebble started from a simple observation: parents are often told that everyday interaction matters, but rarely shown exactly what to do in the moment.
Between nursery pickups, meals and bedtime there is not much room for extra programmes or homework. So we designed TalkPebble around the moments that already happen every day — the snack you were going to hand over anyway, the story you were already going to read.
Our guidance is general and educational. It is written to help you notice and respond to how your child communicates today, whatever stage that is. We are careful not to make claims about outcomes, because every child develops differently and no app can know your child the way you do.
If something you notice worries you, we would rather you talk to a qualified professional sooner than spend time in an app. That is why professional support is signposted throughout, not hidden in the small print.
Parents already spend hours a day with their child. We focus on those existing moments instead of adding another appointment to the calendar.
We do not diagnose, score or predict. We describe what you might notice and offer things you can try, in plain language.
Worry does not help anyone. Guidance is written to feel supportive and practical, never to create urgency or fear.
We are a companion to qualified care, not a replacement for it. We will always point you toward professional support when it matters.
TalkPebble is designed to support the everyday work of parenting. It complements — and never replaces — evaluation and care from qualified professionals.
If you have questions or concerns about your child's development, a speech-language pathologist or your child's doctor is the right place to start. You do not need to use this app first, and you never need a referral from us.
